FANTASTIC

We can’t recommend her highly enough; she is huge fun, immensely talented and she took the most fantastic photographs. She made everyone feel incredibly at ease when they were being photographed.

FAQ’s

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?

I have a natural, relaxed reportage style. Having studied Documentary Photography & Photojournalism,  I use this storytelling style on your wedding day capturing everything as it happens throughout the day.  The only time I offer direction is during your formal group and couple photos, but even then it’s minimal, offered with a sense of humour and done to make sure everyone enjoys the experience and feel comfortable.  I’m not a fan of having my photo taken and feel the best portraits and photos come when you and your guests are relaxed and just enjoying the day rather than worrying about the camera.  I also work like a trouper… to bring energy and my 12 years of wedding photography experience to your day, so that I can take the best darned photos each time.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? (THE GEEKY BIT)

I shoot with 2 Digital SLR camera bodies – Canon 5D MkIV & MkIII – and like to use mostly prime lenses throughout the day.  In my kitbag I have a full complement of lenses including 35mm, 50mm, 85mm (Prime Lenses) & 16-35mm, 24-70mm & 70-200mm lenses so that I have every eventuality covered.  I also use off-camera flash and Elinchrom lights when required. I have also now acquired the mirrorless Sony A7iii which is used as my second camera alongside the Canon 5D MkIV.

Do I need a second photographer on the day?

If you have more than 100 guests, or the wedding is spread over more than one venue and you would like coverage of everything going on throughout the day, I would say yes.  The second photographer adds another dimension to the wedding photos and between us we can make sure that all aspects of the day are captured.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes – I’m always happy to travel and shoot weddings all over the UK & overseas too.  Reasonable travel costs are charged if you are more than an hour’s drive from where I live in Suffolk.  If you need me to give you a bespoke quote on the travel costs, please contact me and I will put this together for you.

What if you are ill on the day?

I have been shooting weddings for over 10 years and have never missed a wedding.  I would have to be admitted to hospital for me not to be there on your big day.  However, if that does happen… (yikes), then I have a great network of photographers – and I will ensure that someone equally as fabulous is there for you.

WHEN DO YOU START / FINISH SHOOTING?

I usually arrive about 2-3 hours before the wedding ceremony to cover the bridal preparations – or the groom before, usher’s lunch, guests arriving, etc.  I tend to leave about an hour after the first dance, to make sure the whole day is covered – but leave before people start melting…

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes indeed, I have Public Liability insurance covering me for up to £2 Million as well as Professional Indemnity Insurance.  If I need additional cover for particular venues, I can easily arrange this.

DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS?

Yes, I edit all of the photos individually using Lightroom & Photoshop to bring a consistently gorgeous style throughout the collection.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

LOTS!  For a full day’s coverage, I usually deliver approximately 950 High Resolution Photos – or more…

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

I send a collage of photos within 2-3 days as a quick preview of your wedding day.  I then ask for up to 4 weeks to deliver the rest.  However, I know what it’s like, so I do the best I can to deliver your photos as soon as I can, but without rushing as the post production is a vital part of the process, which I concentrate on to make sure you have the best set of photos of your wedding day.

What happens after the wedding?

I will edit your images and share the password protected gallery with you.  I give you the option of making any of the photos private, before you then share the gallery with your friends and family.  You can download high resolution copies direct from the gallery and order professional high quality prints too.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?

I limit the amount of weddings I shoot to 25 a year, so that I can give each couple the individual attention that I feel each wedding requires, so I would recommend booking as soon as you can to avoid missing out.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

If you want to book me, which is a fabulous thing to do, please just let me know.

I will send you a booking form to find out a few more details about your wedding day and I request a £500 booking fee to hold the date for you.  It’s as simple as that.

A few weeks before your wedding day, I recommend either meeting up or having a video chat with you to go over the final details of your day, so that we are all set.

The balance is due a week before your wedding and by then I will know everything I need to about you, and you will know all about me, so that all you have to do is get on with your beautiful wedding day, whilst I capture it all.

So please get in touch and we can go from there.
